Ingredients
Prepare first
1onion - mediumwhatever you have
1green bell pepperBell pepper any color
1green pepperoptional: poblano, jalapeno, or similar
The rest
1poundground beef 80/20a little more if you like. If you are using a less fat ground beef you will need more suet to provide a cooking fat for the other ingredients.
1tbspbeef suetoptional
116 oztomato sauceor around that amount
1 1/2tbspdark chili powdermore or less according to taste
2tspWorchester saucemore or less according to taste
Melt the suet and add the hamburger. Break it up, add the chopped onion and pepper. Cook stirring until the onion is translucent and the hamburger has changed color.
Add the tomato sauce and stir in well.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir in well.
For more flavor add a little heat, either the cayenne pepper or hot sauce, add and stir in.
Bring to light boil and then reduce heat to simmer.
Add water to thin if too thick.
Cover if keeping warm.
Serve on buns.
